7. The Waver: 072/25: – It was suggested that we follow the example of Silk Willougby Parish Council who have ownership of a village pond. It was though that inviting a representative to attend a future meeting would be beneficial especially if hiring a solicitor is thought necessary. BD also thought seeking the advice of Natural Britain. It was agreed that due to complexities legal aid would be necessary.
Action : - BD to find cost of legal aid, Clerk to enquire if representative from Silk Willougby Parish Council can attend our next meeting.
8. Hedges: 073/25: - Following instructions from council the clerk sent letters to the occupants of 41 and 43 Main Street. Letters of complaint have been received from both residents had been previously circulated. Clerk to contact residents and apologies for erroneous letters.
9. Gov.uk domain: 074/25: – After advice from LACH it appears that by next year’s AGAR audit returns it will be necessary to have gov.uk web pages for all parish council official correspondence. Accordingly, the clerk attended a training course at a cost of £18.00 including VAT. The outcome of this course has been circulated. The clerk recommends we use Cloud Next to supply domain which will be free the first year and he also recommended we buy 11 addresses to give us 2 spares at no extra cost.
It will also be necessary to have an IT policy. The clerk has circulated a draft policy which will be for approval at the next meeting.
The clerk expressed he might have IT problems with implementing this. However following discussions with Digby parish clerk, he recommends we unite with them to obtain assistance for which he suggests we should share any costs. This was agreed.
